- Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the main railway station in Mumbai, located near the fort area of South Mumbai. It is formerly known as Victoria Terminus and coded as CST.
- The train to Goa also leaves Mumbai from Lokmanyatilak Terminus, located in Kurla, on the northeastern suburb of Mumbai.
- Madgaon is the main railway station in Goa, it is also known as Margao. It is having a code of MAO and is located in south Goa. If you feel like visiting Northern Goa beaches, then try to get a train which stops at Thivim (THVM).

1. Mumbai CST-Karmali Tejas Express
Mumbai CST-Karmali Tejas Express is the fastest and luxurious train which travels between Mumbai and Goa. It started its service on 22nd May 2017 and operated by Central Railway Zone. It departs at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and reaches Karmali. It covers a total distance of 552 km and the train is numbered as 22119. The total time taken to complete the journey will be 8 hours.

The train will work 5 days a week [Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday]. During the monsoon season, mid-June to October, the train will run only 3 days a week. The speed of the train will be 130 km/hr. It doesn’t contain any pantry facility, but onboard catering will be available.
There will be special facility available in the train like LCD TVs, tea and coffee vending machines, wireless Internet, automatically opening doors, GPS-based information display system and many more.

2. Jan Shatabdi Express
Jan Shatabdi Express is an economic version of Shatabdi Express, where ‘Jan’ refers to the common people. It started operating on 16th April 2002. It is currently operated by Indian Railways and covers the total distance with an average speed of 70 km/hr.
It departs at Dardar Central and reaches to Madgoan, south Goa. This train is for budget travellers. It runs with a train number of 12051.
Jan Shatabdi Express will run every day of the week. A new luxury Vistadome carriage which contains wide windows and glass roof has been attached to the train in September 2018. During the monsoon season, Vistadome carriage will be attached only on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The train will arrive at Thivim, north Goa.

Konkan Kanya is a superfast Express, which runs between Mumbai and Margao. The train started operating from January 25, 1998, and is operated by Konkan Railways. It departs at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and arrives at Madgaon Junction. It contains totals 18 stops and covers a total distance of 580km.
Konkan Kanya Express travels every day with an operating speed of 43 km/hr. Catering facility (paid) is available on this train. The train is numbered as 10111. It also had a stop at Pernem and Thivim in North Goa. It is most popularly known for the overnight journey from Mumbai to Goa.

Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Mangalore Jn superfast express which travels from Mumbai to Manguluru. The train started operating from 23rd November 2009 and it runs with a number, 12133.
It is currently operated by Central Railway and it had 12 halt stations in between. It departs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Terminus (CSMT) and arrives at Mangalore Junction.
It works every day in a week with a speed of 62 km/hr. It doesn’t have any catering facilities. It departs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 10.02 P.M and reaches Madgaon at 7:05 A.M in the next morning. It also had a stop in Karmali, North Goa. It is an overnight train which runs daily.

The Mandovi Express is named after the river Mandovi River and it operates between CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj) of Mumbai and Madgaon Junction of Goa. It is currently being operated by Konkan Railway and Central Railway. It had a total of 18 halt stations and covers a total distance of 580 km. The train started its service on 7th June 1999.
The Mandovi Express works every day in a week and runs at an average speed of 50 km/hr. It won't contain any catering facility. It starts from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 7:10 A.M and reaches Madgaon at 7 P.M. It also had stopped at Thivim and Pernem in North Goa.
