Good news for train passengers! Now, booking train tickets is easier than ever before! Saurabh Kataria, a manager, shared good news for train travellers. Now, they can easily book unreserved tickets and platform tickets from any station without leaving their homes.
The Indian Railways has launched a user-friendly app known as UTS mobile app. On this app, passengers can from anywhere using their mobile phones. This is the plan of the Indian railway department to make train journeys more convenient fbook unreserved train tickets or everyone.
Another advantage of this new rule is that passengers no longer need to stand in long queues at ticket counters. The app on their mobile phone will do all the things. They can book tickets from their homes or outside. The app has removed the previous restriction of a 50-kilometer radius. So they can book tickets from anywhere! Moreover, they don’t need to bother at all about missing out on tickets.
The UTS mobile app is designed to make ticket booking hassle-free and convenient for users. It is suitable for all types of passengers, as it combines simple and easy-to-navigate interface features. Users can choose between paperless or paper ticket options based on their preferences. They can select their starting and destination stations, check fare details, and book tickets with just a few taps on their phones.
Paying for tickets on the UTS app is also effortless. Passengers can use numerous payment modes such as R-wallet, UPI, net banking, and debit or credit cards to complete their transactions securely. Passengers can choose any payment method as per their flexibility.
As per the notice of the Indian railway department, passengers must follow some basic rules and regulations while using the UTS mobile app. For example, they can board the train 3 hours after booking their tickets. Furthermore, passengers must be within 2 kilometres of the station or 15 meters of the railway track to buy the platform tickets. The app also allows passengers to buy seasonal tickets for 3, 6, or 12 months.
Union Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently shared some promising news for train passengers. He guaranteed that almost every passenger who wants to travel will be able to get a confirmed ticket in the next five years. He also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focusing more on transforming the Indian Railways to a better position.
The introduction of the UTS mobile app is one of the great decisions taken by the department to promote digitalization in the Indian Railways. The app will be considered an essential tool for train travellers across the country. Because it has the features like a user-friendly interface, flexible payment options, and removal of geographical restrictions.
