The train has two kitchen cars-cum-restaurants Maharaja and Maharani which offer palate tickling Continental, Chinese, India and Rajasthani cuisines to guests. With a Rajasthani ambience; the restaurants of Palace on Wheels offer seating arranged in groups of twos and fours near the windows, so doesn’t matter, what you order Continental/Indian or other, here Chefs in the attached pantry prepare your specialties with an accent of the cuisine of Rajasthan.

The train has well-stock bar serve both Indian and International beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Along with this, there is also a sitting lounge where you can relax and have some fun time. Here snacks are free but to enjoy the beverages, you have to pay additional charges.

Palace on Wheels has 14 fully air-conditioned coaches which named after the princely states of Rajasthan like Jaipur, Jodhpur and Alwar etc. These coaches not only share their names but also reflect their opulence and royalty in best way. Besides attractive interiors each coach has 4 twin bedded chambers equipped with channel music, television, air conditioning, intercom, internet connectivity, safe and attached bathrooms and wall to wall carpeting that enhance the pleasure of traveling.

The train has a state-of-the-art spa where guests can enjoy various relaxing and rejuvenating massages, therapies and treatments. Apart from different treatments on wheel, from here you can purchase a huge range of hair, skin and body care products.

For hassle free journey, it’s advised to book at least one day hotel accommodation before and after the journey.

Domestic or international flight fare is not included in the costs of Palace on Wheels.

Its advised to bring all insurance documents/policy relate to illness, injury, accident, death, loss of luggage and holiday cancellation from your home country. Despite this, all the passengers of Palace on Wheels are covered under an insurance which include unforeseen calamities like fire, earthquake, theft and terrorism.

Travel Documents will be issued after receipt of full payment for your reservation/ 15 days prior to departure. Please carry your confirmation of booking with you on departure.

No dress code, but its advised to wear soft/cotton/casual clothes and comfortable shoes for all off-train journey and wildlife tours. Dont forget to pack warm clothes during winter season departure.

Soft-topped luggage is recommended.

There is a conference car that is hired out to hold events like marriages, birthday parties, corporate events and other business conferences.

Guests can also shop on-board the Palace on Wheels for mementos, ethnic attire, curios traditional handicrafts & artifacts.

Wi-Fi internet is available with devices to use on-board the Palace on Wheels. However, net speed may change with the place & travel.

In case of a medical issue for any guest, there is medical assistance on-board. However, if it requires, a doctor may attend the guest at the next nearest destination.

The en-suite washrooms are equipped with optional hot/ cold running water, a shower area, toilet and supply of necessary toiletries including bed & bath linen, shampoos, soap, etc.

Along with your morning tea, get to read the newspaper and magazines from the collection on the go.

There is reasonable security arrangements made for the belongings of the guests like a safe deposit or safe lock in the cabin as well as for guests of Palace on Wheels.

There is voltage of 110/230 V available on-board the Palace on Wheels for chargers, hair dryers, etc.

Guests are given a hearty welcome before boarding the Palace on Wheels and a special welcome arrival kit that includes brochures, stationary items, etc.

Step into the beautifully designed saloons onboard to get pampered to the core. Their interiors are designed using traditional themes and are named after the places of the princely 
state of Rajasthan. From the furniture to paintings, handicrafts and furnishings, everything has a royal element attached to it. Each saloon has a mini pantry and an attached bathroom.
The attendants are at your service 24x7 to take care of your every need.

The sitting lounge with a royal decor and soothing ambiance is the perfect place to catch up with the co-passengers, relax with a book and a cup of coffee, enjoy quality time with your
 loved ones or play indoor games.

To cater to the needs of the differently abled guests wheelchair, creches and attendants are available onboard.

After boarding the luxury train Palace on Wheels guests are greeted with a smile along with a refreshing welcome drink and an arrival kit (containing stationery items, brochures, etc.).

Hair Dryers are available onboard the luxury train.
