Plan Your Wedding in an Indian Luxury Train

Gone are the days when beach wedding was the trend. It is time for a luxury train wedding trend. The Golden Chariot, luxury train of Karnataka will soon offer destination weddings. The train is already famous for its corporate outings and weekend getaways. Now, the government of Karnataka has planned to provide wedding and honeymoon packages.

This would be the first destination wedding package in the country. This plan is considered to be Karnataka's strategy to bring fortune to the loss-generating Golden Chariot. With the growing demand of exotic destination weddings, the government of Karnataka has taken steps to satisfy the needs.

Once the wedding is booked, the train would take care of decoration, transportation to wedding halls, priest booking and others. Not just for wedding, the KSTDC will take in-charge of the pre-wedding functions which include mehandi, sangeet, reception and others. You can choose your style of cuisine and items.

You can also choose from a large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The couple would be transported in plush cars and others would be escorted to AC buses. With honeymoon package, the couple gets to stay in a KSTDC hotel for two days.

According to tourism minister of Karnataka, Priyank Kharge, the rates and other details are under discussion as of now. The number of guests for the wedding cannot be more than 86 inside the train.

The guests to the wedding hall is unlimited. KSTDC has plans to create different packages for the wedding which would range from 10 lakh INR to 15 lakh INR. There are also talks about fixing haulage. If everything goes as planned, the wedding packages would be on sale within a month.
