Treasures of India (Maharajas' Express)

This is a simple short tour covering the ultimate circuit of Agra, Jaipur and Ranthambore. Agra gives the historic view of the land, Jaipur adds the cultural spice and the natural beauty is brought in by Ranthambore. If you have a very short period of vacation, the Treasures of India is the best way to explore India.

The tour stretches for three nights and four days starting and ending in Delhi. The trip covers Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur.

Itinerary Details - Day Wise

Day 1 (Sunday) :

Delhi - Agra

The train awaits for you at the Safdurjung Railway Station, Delhi. The welcome ceremony starts at 08:15 AM in the morning. Tourists are welcomed into the train after a short check-in formalities.

The train starts its journey towards Agra by 9:15 hours. The tour manager provides a briefing of the tour at 10:45 hours.

By 14:15 hours, the train reaches Agra, the first destinations. By 14:30 hours, tourists are taken on a road trip to Taj Mahal. You will be taken back to the train by 18:30 hours.

After a brief rest, you will be taken to watch Mohabbat- The Taj Show. If not interested, you can choose to enjoy spa session in any pre-determined premium hotel. Alternatively, you can choose to stay back in the train and relax.

Brunch (9:30 hours) and dinner (19:00 hours) are served on-board. Overnight stay in the train as the train halts at Agra station.

Day 2 (Monday) :

Agra - Ranthambore

The sightseeing tour starts at 07:00 AM in the morning. Tourists will be taken to Agra Fort. If desired, you can choose to visit Itmad-ud-Daula, instead of Agra Fort. Tourist are taken back to the train by 09:00 AM.

By 10:45 hours, the train starts its journey towards Ranthambore. By 15:15 hours, tourists will be taken for a game drive in Ranthambore National Park to spot the animal.

Tourists are taken back to the train by 18:15 hours and the train starts its journey towards Jaipur by 18:45 hours.

Breakfast (09:15 hours), lunch (13:00 hours) and dinner (20:00 hours) are served on-board.

Overnight stay in the train as it moves to Jaipur.

Day 3 (Tuesday) :

Jaipur

The train reaches Jaipur very early in the morning. By 08:00 AM, tourists are taken to explore the Amber Fort. Other optional activities to try are spa sessions, visit to City Palace and Jantar Mantar or private shopping tour.

By 12:00 hours in the afternoon, tourists are brought back to the train. After a brief rest and dining, tourists are taken for trip to Rambagh Palace by 17:00 hours. The dinner is served in a hotel inside the palace at 17:00 hours.

By 21:00 hours, tourists are taken back to the train. By 22:30 hours, train will be on its way to Delhi.

Breakfast (07:00 hours) and lunch (13:30 hours) are served in the Maharajas' Express restaurants. Overnight stay in the train as it races towards Delhi, the final destination.

Day 4 (Wednesday) :

Delhi

The Maharajas’ Express train reaches Delhi, very early in the morning. By 10:00 AM, the checkout formalities will be completed and the tourists will be de-boarding the train.

Breakfast (08:00 hours) is served on-board.
