Day 1


Welcome aboard the Maharajas' Express.

Reach the Safdarjung station before 2030 hours as the procedure before boarding the train requires some time and complete your registration and check in formalities for the Maharajas' Express.

The team of Maharajas Express welcomes with a drink and gets settled in your coach.

The Maharajas Express train starts by 2200 hours and taste delicious food served on board.

Take a rest and by morning travelers reach the pink city Jaipur.

Day 2


Complete your breakfast on the train and start the day, reaching the private venue which is booked prior.

The Royal city Jaipur which reflects the Rajputana culture till date welcomes people to explore the forts and palaces along with other attractions. The city built by Raja Jai Singh is one striking place and travelers can enjoy exploring the wonderful city.

Get down the train with a warm reception along with the royal military band and can even take part in the exhibition game which is much exciting. The match is followed by Champagne lunch at a Private venue. Along with the excited welcome chances of having fun taste the lip smacking lunch.

Start with your expedition post lunch and start with Amber Fort. The architectural brilliance of the Amber Fort amazes the travelers as this construction is unique. The fort is a combination of Hindu as well as Mughal styles and the majestic complex built using red sand stone and marble with finest art work.

Day 3

Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri

As the day break reaches Sawai Madhopur and be prepared to have a rough day seeing the nature beauty and animals in the national park. The Ranthambore National Park is perfect to witness the animals in the natural habitats.

Enjoy a healthy breakfast at Vivanta by Taj, Sawai Madhopur. Get back to the train and get ready to reach the city of Mughals Fatehpur Sikri.

Have a complete meal on the luxury train of India and get down in the deserted Mughal city.

Arrive into Fatehpur Sikri, The city reveals the systematic planning of the Mughal rulers. The city is mostly built using the red sand stone and every palace owe a unique brilliance and perfection in the construction style. Witness the amazing architecture of Jama Masjid, Buland-Darwazah and Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, Khass Mahal, Shahi-Bazar, Mina-Bazar, Panch-Mahal, Khwabgah, Diwan-i-Khass, Anup-Talao, Chaupar and Diwan-i-Am during the day.

Day 4


The next destination on schedule is reaching Agra. The city that is world famous for the enchanting UNESCO site Taj Mahal welcomes travelers. The symbol of love dedicated to the Mumtaz queen of Shah Jahan is one of the opulent constructions.

Enjoy Champagne breakfast atop Taj Khema gazing at the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Travelers can relax and have lunch on board on the way to Gwalior located in Madhya Pradesh.

Reach Gwalior and enjoy visiting the popular Gwalior fort. This is one of the historical sites built in the 8th century. This place is also famous for various interesting attractions and museums which are worth of visiting. The Jain sculptures are, one must visit sites of Gwalior along with the museums. The Jai Vilas Palace Museum is a perfect place to see the ancient collection.

Day 5

Orchha - Khajuraho

Wake up fresh in the morning after a good night sleep and be prepared to taste the best breakfast served at Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal. We will drive you to the Jhansi Railway station and from there reaching Orchha is simple.

Orchha is the city of the Bundela rulers. There are several temples, palaces, and many more that reveal the uniqueness of the taste of the rulers. The enchanting region located on the banks of the Betwa river welcomes people to witness the beauty of the art work at the Jahangir Mahal, Chaturbhuj temple along with a few more.

The city built in the 16th and 17th century is a perfect place to see the picturesque locations and other graceful constructions. Spend a fabulous day exploring the victorious sites and reach your coach by evening.

We take you to the wonderful place Khajuraho before you complete your lunch on board.

Get down in the temple city Khajuraho and this region is known for various temple complexes built by the Chandela rulers. The 85 temples which are ancient and perfect to explore during the visit to Khajuraho. Also, it is believed that these were constructed in a span of just 100 years a thousand years ago.

Day 6


Begin your day with an onboard breakfast.

Yes, the next place is the holy city Varanasi. Mostly referred as Kashi or Banaras this is an ancient city which every Hindu tend to visit once in a lifetime.

The temple here is world famous and is dedicated to lord Shiva, which is one of the 12 jyotir lingas in India. Not just for Hindus, but Varanasi is a city which is most visited by Jains and Buddhists.

The Sarnath ruins sand other attractions offer a memorable holiday experience and the Ganga aarti allows people to earn a pure experience. Holiness is filled in the whole region and don’t miss purchasing the soft and dazzling Banaras sarees.

Before reaching Varanasi complete your breakfast on the Maharaja Express and then get down in Varanasi to see the exceptional wonders.

Witness the wonderful attractions get back to the train and have mouthwatering lunch loaded with delicacies.

Post lunch one can visit the Silk weaving Centre and even enjoy the aarti of Ganges which leaves a stunning experience. By night after seeing the aarti get back to the train and have dinner at the restaurant with a royal treatment.

Get back to the Maharajas Express and have dinner on-board.

Have a happy night sleep and reach Lucknow by morning.

Day 7


Reach Lucknow before the day break and get for a wonderful expedition in the City of Nawabs by having a heavy breakfast. The capital of Uttar Pradesh welcomes travelers to gain a unique experience of the holiday.

The city on the banks of the river Gomti is a perfect place to explore. The region is loaded with various sightseeing attractions. After breakfast start exploring Bara Imamabara, Chota Imamabara, Rumi Darwaza and a few more attractions and by noon reach Awadhi. Awadhi lunches are much popular around the country and enjoy the lip smacking food witnessing the graceful dance form Kathak. The performance at Vivanta by Taj amazes the guests and then continues witnessing the wonderful attractions of the city.

Along with the expedition of the central hall of the Imambara one can see the landmarks Rumi Darwaza. Spend time seeing the beauty of the Imambara which is a tomb built in 1784 by Asaf-uf-Daula.

Apart from the capital of Suryanvanshi dynasty and Nawab rulers this place even earned importance during the British rule. The British residency served as a major part of the British activities and is a now in ruins protected by the archaeological survey of India.

Get back to the train and have hot lunch.

Take some rest post lunch and by night one can visit the Residence of Local Nawab of Jehangirabad.

By night get back to the train and get some comfortable good night sleep.

Day 8

Delhi (Disembark)

Have a good breakfast and say bye to the staff with warm memories. Get back to your adobe with the magnificent photographs of classy royal reception.

By morning the journey gets completed when the train reaches Disembark in Delhi.
