From there, Indian Panorama will glide your through iconic elements of Indian land like Agra, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Gwalior and others. The tour gives more importance to the heritage sites of the land like Amber Fort, Taj Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Fatehpur Sikri and the list goes on and on.

Itinerary
Day 1

Delhi

Guests can enjoy the traditional welcome at Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi. Complete your registration and check in formalities for the Maharajas' Express.

Enjoy your delicious food served on board the train.

Guests spend their night on the Maharajas' Express and then leaves for the first destination of Indian Odyssey luxury tour, Jaipur.

Day 2

Jaipur

Start your day with an on-board breakfast as the train arrives in the Pink City, Jaipur.

The Royal city Jaipur which reflects the Rajputana culture till date welcomes people to explore the forts and palaces along with other attractions.

Guests proceed to the visit the ancient Amber Fort. The architectural brilliance of the Amber Fort amazes the travelers as this construction is unique. The fort is a combination of Hindu as well as Mughal styles and the majestic complex built using red sand stone and marble with finest art work.

After visiting Amber Fort, guests then proceed to visit the City Palace/Jai Mahal Palace to take part in the exclusive elephant activities, guests may choose to decorate them, feed them and also take the regal ride which is followed by lunch.

Return to the comforts of Maharajas Express or you may choose to participate in one of the optional tours such as

  • Private shopping tour
  • Visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar

After the memorable day, get relaxed on the Maharajas Express and have your dinner onboard the train.

Overnight stay on the Maharajas Express and then train leaves for the next destination, Sawai Madhopur.

Day 3

Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri

The World's Leading luxury train - Maharajas' Express arrives at Sawai Madhopur and then guests proceeds for an safari at Ranthambore National Park. This wildlife sanctuary is perfect to witness the animals in the natural habitats.

After game drive, guests can return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express.

Have your breakfast onboard the train as the Maharajas Express departs for the next destination, city of Mughals Fatehpur Sikri.

Enjoy the delicious lunch onboard as the train arrive in Fatehpur Sikri.

Get ready to explore the deserted Mughal city, Fatehpur Sikri.

Later, return back to the Maharajas' Express and have an dinner onboard.

Stay overnight onboard the train as the train leaves for its next destination, Agra.

Day 4

Agra

The next destination on schedule is reaching Agra. The city that is world famous for the enchanting UNESCO site Taj Mahal welcomes travelers. The symbol of love dedicated to the Mumtaz queen of Shah Jahan is one of the opulent constructions.

Enjoy Champagne breakfast atop Taj Khema gazing at the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Travelers can relax and have lunch on board on the way to Gwalior located in Madhya Pradesh.

Reach Gwalior and enjoy visiting the popular Saas Bahu Temple and Gwalior fort. This is one of the historical sites built in the 8th century. This place is also famous for various interesting attractions and museums which are worth of visiting. The Jain sculptures are, one must visit sites of Gwalior along with the museums. The Jai Vilas Palace Museum is a perfect place to see the ancient collection.

Guests can also take part in

  • Travelers are allowed to enjoy tea at Jai Vilas Palace in the compound of the palace after witnessing the special attractions at the museum.
  • By evening have some tea and people can visit Usha Kiran Palace for spa facilities.

Guests later return to the Maharajas Express and spend their overnight onboard as the train is stationed overnight at Gwalior.

Early morning train leaves for the next destination, Khajuraho.

Day 5

Khajuraho

Wake up fresh in the morning after a good night sleep and be prepared to taste the best breakfast served at Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal.

Get down in the temple city Khajuraho and proceed to visit the Khajuraho temples (Western Group Of Temples). The 85 temples which are ancient and perfect to explore during the visit to Khajuraho. Also, it is believed that these were constructed in a span of just 100 years a thousand years ago.

Guest return back to the train or may choose the optional activities.

Rest for the night and Maharajas Express drives you to the next place, Varanasi.

Day 6

Varanasi

Begin your day with an onboard breakfast.

Yes, the next place is the holy city Varanasi. Mostly referred as Kashi or Banaras this is an ancient city which every Hindu tend to visit once in a lifetime.

The temple here is world famous and is dedicated to lord Shiva, which is one of the 12 jyotir lingas in India. Not just for Hindus, but Varanasi is a city which is most visited by Jains and Buddhists.

Visit the Silk weaving Centre which is followed by a sumptuous lunch at Taj Gateway Hotel.

Afterwards, visit the Sarnath ruins and museum offer a memorable holiday experience and the Ganga aarti allows people to earn a pure experience. Holiness is filled in the whole region and don’t miss purchasing the soft and dazzling Banaras sarees.

Get back to the Maharajas Express and have dinner on-board.

Overnight stay onboard the train and reach Lucknow by morning.

Day 7

Lucknow

Reach Lucknow before the day break and get for a wonderful expedition in the City of Nawabs by having a heavy breakfast. The capital of Uttar Pradesh welcomes travelers to gain a unique experience of the holiday.

After breakfast start exploring Bara Imamabara, Chota Imamabara, Rumi Darwaza and The Residency and by noon reach Awadhi. Awadhi lunches are much popular around the country and enjoy the lip smacking food witnessing the graceful dance form Kathak. The performance at Vivanta by Taj amazes the guests and then continues witnessing the wonderful attractions of the city.

Along with the expedition of the central hall of the Imambara one can see the landmarks Rumi Darwaza. Spend time seeing the beauty of the Imambara which is a tomb built in 1784 by Asaf-uf-Daula.

Get back to the train and enjoy an "Indian Evening" followed by dinner on-board.

The Maharajas' Express leaves for Delhi which is the last destination of Indian Odyssey luxury tour.

Day 8

Delhi (Disembark)

Have a good breakfast and say bye to the staff with warm memories. Get back to your adobe with the magnificent photographs of classy royal reception.

By morning the journey gets completed when the train reaches Disembark in Delhi.
