IRCTC Kashi Mahakal Express train is the third private train in India. It was flagged by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on the 16th of February 2020. This train will start its commercial operations from 20th of February 2020. This is a train that will run between the routes of Indore and Varanasi.

There are a number of iconic destinations and the three most important of these destinations include Jyotirlingas-Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, and Kashi Vishwanath. This is a fully AC train and it has rakes that are similar to the Humsafar Express type. There are also certain tour packages designed for the pilgrims.

Kashi Mahakal Express Timings

IRCTC's new train, the Kashi Mahakal Express, will depart from Varanasi every Tuesday and Thursday at 02.45 pm and arrive in Indore the next day, Wednesday and Friday at 09.40 am.

Kashi Mahakal Express Schedule

Kashi Mahakal Express runs 3 days in a week. This will be a two-week service on the Sultanpur-Lucknow route and a weekly service on the Prayagraj route. Kashi Mahakal Express is the third private train of the IRCTC after the Tejas Express train between the New-Delhi and Mumbai-Ahmedabad routes.

The Routes of the Kashi Mahakal Express

1. 82403 Varanasi-Indore Express

Train Number : 82403
This is a train that runs once in every week via the Prayagraj-Kanpur. It departs from the Varanasi station at 3:15 pm on Sunday and then reaches Allahabad at 5.30 pm. Then again departs from Allahabad at 5:35 pm and then reaches Kanpur at 8:50 pm. Then again it departs from Kanpur at 8:55 pm and reaches Bina at 3:20 am.

After this it leaves Bina at 3:22 am and reaches Sant Hardaram Nagar at 5:25 am and then after departing from here at 5:30 am reaches Ujjain at 8 am. It starts at 8:10am from Ujjain and reaches its final destination, Indore at 9:40 am.

2. 82404 Varanasi- Indore Express via Prayagraj-Kanpur

Train Number : 82404
It will start from Indore at 10:55 am on Monday and will reach Ujjain at 12 pm. then again depart from Ujjain at 12:10 pm and then reach Sant Hirdaram Nagar at 3:05 pm and then start again at 3:10 pm and reach Bina at 5:08 pm.

From Bina it will depart at 5:10 pm and arrive at Kanpur at 11:35 pm. It will start from Kanpur at 11:40 pm and then reach Allahabad at 2:25 am and then depart from there at 2:35 am and reach its final destination at Varanasi at 5 am.

3. 82401 Varanasi- Indore Express Via Lucknow-Kanpur

Train Number : 82402
This train will start from Varanasi at 2:45 pm on Tuesday and also on Thursday and then reach Lucknow at 7:05 pm. Then again start at 7:15 pm from there and reach Kanpur at 8:50 pm. After that the train will start from Kanpur at 8:55 pm and reach Bina at 3:20 am. Then start from Bina at 3:22 am and then reach Sant Hirdaram nagar at 5:25 am. Then depart from there at 5:30 am and finally reach Ujjain at 8 am. The start at 8:10 am from Ujjain and reach Indore at 9:40 am.

4. 82402 Varanasi - Indore Express Via Lucknow-Kanpur

Train Number : 82402
It will start from Indore at 10:55 am on Wednesday and also on Friday and then reach Ujjain at 12 pm. Then start at 12:10 pm from there and reach Sant Hirdaram Nagar at 3:05 pm. Then again start at 3:10 pm from there and reach Bina at 5:08 pm. Then depart at 5:10 pm from there and reach Kanpur at 11:35 pm. Then start again from from Kanpur at 11:40 pm and reach Lucknow at 1:10 am. The start from Lucknow at 1:20 am ad reach Varanasi at 6 am.

How to Book Kashi Mahakal Express?

You will be able to book the tickets exclusively in the official website of IRCTC. You will not be able to book tickets for the Kashi Mahakal Express at the Reservation Counters. You will have the option of booking tickets 120 days in advance. You will not get any discounts, however, the children below the age of 5 years will not have to pay any fees.

Once the first chart is prepared the users will be able to do current booking. This will happen around 4 hours 5 minutes before the actual time of departure. In case the train gets cancelled you will be given a full refund. The passengers will also be provided with a rail insurance of 10 lakhs for the passengers and this will be provided as a complimentary offer.

Kashi Mahakal Express Fare

The train fares will be dynamic in nature and IRCTC will have the exclusive authority to decide the fare. The minimum ticket fare of Kashi Mahakal Express will be Rs 1,629 for one side journey.
