Indian Railways Launches Bharat Gaurav Tourist Scheme For 12-Day Journey To 9 Jyotirlingas

You have definitely heard of Jyotirlingas. Devotees of Shiva worship a unique form of religious sculpture- The Jyotrilingas. There are (twelve) 12 Jyotirlingas in religion. The Indian government and the railway authorities have taken an initiative to promote Tourism in the country.

12 Jyotrilingas under the Bharat Gaurav scheme

The great initiative operated by the Indian Railways and Indian tourism industry aims to cover main jyotrilingas scattered around the Indian land. These include Lingas from Mahakaleshwar to Omkareshwar and the Somnath Linga.

During this journey, you get a chance to visit and worship Nageshwar linga, Bhimashankar linga, and Trimbakeshwar linga. Bet-Dwarka, Dwarkadhish, and Grishneshwar lingas are also covered under this initiative.

About Bharat Gaurav scheme package

Package duration – The visit journey to 12 jyotrilingas of the country will last for 12 days and 11 nights.

Date of travel – To enjoy this journey, you have to book early tickets. The authorities have planned to get-set-go with this package on the 18th of November 2025.

Route – If you plan to be a part of the Bharat Gaurav scheme, then your journey starts from Omkareshwar Jyotrilinga temple visit. From here, you will get a lifetime opportunity to visit the Mahakaleshwar temple. The next part of the journey takes you through Dwarkadesh and the very unique Nageshwar jyotrilinga. The journey of 12 lingas is never completed, if you have not visited the Somnath temple in Gujarat. Here, the Jyotrilinga is very distinct and reminds us of the Mughal era destructions. iv) If you book your tickets with Bharat Gaurav, then you are provided with a dine and bed (along with a washroom) facility in a budget hotel, during the journey. The hotel choice is based on affordability and category selection (Economy, Comfort, or Standard).

v) When you select Bharat Gaurav, you do not have to worry about meals. The ticket covers meals during the package tour journey. ix) To enjoy a hassle-free journey, ensure you have valid documents with you. The IDs need to be produced during the checkpoint by the passengers.

x) The fee for the 12-day and 11-night journey is made very affordable by the authorities. To enjoy or be a part of this package tour, you have to spend around 24,100 to 54,390 INR each passenger.
